This course is intended to give participants the necessary skills to initially manage an adult patient emergency and/or cardiac arrest. Competency at adult basic life support and the safe use of the AED is undertaken through a continuous assessment process,it is vital that this competence is refreshed and practiced annually. This course on its own counts as 1.5 hour verifiable CPD for Health Care Professionals.
Adult BLS combined with Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Paediatric Basic Life Support and Anaphylaxis, combined count as 2.5 hours CPD.
Based on the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines this will allow the candidate to improve their skills, knowledge and confidence. This course covers the essential skills needed to resuscitate someone who has collapsed.

A certificate of attendance will be given on completion of the course which is valid for 1 year. First Aid Interventions use the latest medical training aids and the minimum clinical grade tutor will be a HCPC registered Paramedic.
