This course is intended to give participants the necessary skills to initially manage an adult patient emergency and/or cardiac arrest. Competency at adult basic life support and the safe use of the AED is undertaken through a continuous assessment process.
An overview of the process for the management of both child and infant basic life support is also provided along with practical instruction.

This course will benefit anyone looking to learn new skills or refresh their existing skills and knowledge. Any organisation including the staff could influence the out-come of anyone in the event of collapse.
Assessment is on-going throughout the course by the trainer.
A certificate is issued to those that complete the course and is valid for 1 year, this also counts towards CPD. This course counts as 2.5 hours verifiable CPD for those dental care professionals registered with the General Dental Council. This course teaches the essential skills of Basic Life Support and can be part of any mandatory CPD training that needs to be completed.
