Medical Emergencies in Dental Practice 
First Aid Interventions are approved by Qualsafe Awards, an Awarding Organisation recognised by Ofqual to offer regulated qualifications. 

Qualification Overview 
Half day course designed specifically for dental practitioners preparing them and their staff to manage common medical emergencies which may arise in a dental practice. Focus is on initial management and support. This course counts as 4.5 hours verifiable CPD for those dental care professionals registered with the General Dental Council. This course can be delivered at your premises (in-house) or one of our venues which are comfortable and conducive to learning. First Aid Interventions follows the guidelines from the Resuscitation Council (UK).  
 
Aim of Qualification 
The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. 
 
Intended Audience 
All Dental Professionals and the staff that work within the Dental Team 
 
First Aid Interventions use the very latest medical training equipment and the minimum clinical grade tutor will be a HCPC registered Paramedic .We can bespoke any of our courses to meet your requirements or your specific industry needs. We are a ZOLL authorised distributor, if you require any information regarding Automated External Defibrillators (AED), please contact us. 
 
Completion 
On completion of any training we will issue a individual certificate which count as verifiable CPD and a certificate for your practice to display if you wish in the reception or waiting area. 
 
 
Notes 
For larger groups we can also supply a second instructor. We know that it can be difficult scheduling training and the impact it can have on a busy practice, so we try to make it easier for you by offering flexible courses at either your practice or one of our venues which would be close to you, we will consider evenings and weekends, what is important is the facilities we operate in are conducive to learning.

Safe defibrillation (AED) 
Airway management with adjuncts 
Medical emergency treatment algorithms 
Universal treatment algorithm for management of cardiac arrest 
Emergency use of buccal midazolam 
Resuscitation & Emergency equipment for dental practice 
Hand over and transfer
